We cordially invite you to the 14th International FRUTIC Symposium in 2022!
It will take place on June 29 - July 1 2022, at Hotel Olympia, Valencia, Spain.

The first FRUTIC conference took place in Israel 1983, followed by the USA, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, Italy and Chile. In 2017 and 2018, FRUTIC took place in cooperation with FRUIT LOGISTICA in Berlin, Germany. In 2019 FRUTIC was held in Hong Kong in association with ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA, and last year it was held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

In 2022, FRUTIC comes to Valencia (Spain), providing the best platform for a research network on emerging technologies or current issues in the industry. Topics capture technology advancement in production, harvest, postharvest, distribution and quality control of fruit, nuts, and vegetables. This event aims to provide a concerted platform that brings together scientists, academics and all actors in the fresh produce industry to disseminate, share practical experiences and develop roadmaps to achieve common goals.

FRUTIC has become an essential source of knowledge for developing and applying technology in the wine, fruit and fruit production sectors. The presentation of high-quality works allows meeting the needs of producers to satisfy the demands of consumers. Thus, obtain a safe, affordable and sustainable product, which helps to improve the profit without reducing the quality. In recent years, the fruit and vegetable sector has been involved in important developments, both in the field and in transformation processes. The concepts related to digitalisation and sustainability have requested a review of production methods focusing greater attention on the environment and the consumer healthiness.

For these reasons, the conference aims to discuss the technological developments in the field and in postharvest. Precision farming is increasingly able to offer practical solutions for the operative management of the orchard. Automation and sensors applied to transformation processes improve the possibility of better preserving the production quality by raising the control level, expanding the range of products (for instance, the fresh-cut fruit and vegetable), reducing waste, and saving costs.
